Get Better at Writing-
1. Read Every Day:
Reading regularly can help you in writing better. Cause when you read regularly you understand better the different pattern of writing. So, When you read, note what you like about certain passages and note what you don’t like about certain passages. Otherwise, reading everyday increases your vocabulary knowledge for writing.
2. Get Clear:
Whenever you sit down to write anything, you must ask yourself some questions such as, Why am I writing? What’s the desired outcome that you want with this particular piece of writing? It means you need to be clear about what you are really writing. Cause, If you don’t have a clear view of your writing you will be unable to engage the audiences/readers.
3. Exercise Every Day:
Practice can make anything perfect. So, practice everyday to develop your writing skill. If you want to write better, you must develop a habit of writing regularly. Start writing whatever you want to write everyday.
4. Remember That Outlines are Your Friend:
When you start putting pen to proverbial paper, just sketch out an outline of what you are planning to write. Because if writing is your battle field then this will be your battle plan, and it will help you win the war. Very few writers sit down to write anything without a solid plan in mind.
5. Sleep with a Notebook:
Sleeping with a notebook will help you in writing better. Cause, before falling asleep you have a chance of getting ideas in your head. So, put a notebook beside your bed. Just write down your ideas immidately, don’t miss them.
6. Write From Your Happy Place:
You may have noticed that whenever you’re stressed out and tried to force yourself to write something amazing, it almost never works. Right? Research shows that taking a shower—is the key to creativity-on-command. When your body is experiencing a rush of dopamine, that’s when those a-ha! moments (“Ooh! I’ve got the perfect title for mypresentation!”) tend to happen.
7. Write Like It’s Your Job:
You may find few shortcuts that can actually transform you into an amazing writer overnight, and even the most talented writers had to learn their craft over a period of many years. Take writing as your job and you need to make it perfect to become successful.
8. Write for Yourself First:
If you can feel that what you are writing is interesting, then you’ll do a better job writing about it and surely; your audience will find it interesting too. So, When you write think that this one is for you. Place yourself as the first audience of your article.
9. Read Like It’s Your Job:
Reading on a regular basis is an easy way to start developing your writing skills.You can find more typical and challenging material for writing. You must pay attention to sentence structure, word choice, and how the material flows in your reading.
10. Eliminate distractions:
Writing does not work well with multi-tasking or background noise. It’s best done in quiet, or with some mellow music playing. It will be better if you write in a quiet place.
