1. Ajker Deal

Ajkerdeal.com is an online shopping marketplace in Bangladesh. They have in excess of 150000 items from around 500 distinct classes on their site for online shopping. They work with almost 2000 top of the line dealers. The list of products that are found on their website starts with watches, beautifiers, fragrances, shoes, smartphones, hardware, kitchen accessories, home beautification, etc. and the list goes on. Ajkerdeal.com was found by Fahim Mashroor, who is also the founder of bdjobs.com. It was first launched in September 2011 in Bangladesh.

2. Chaldal

Chaldal.com is an online grocery and food products provider in Bangladesh. They sell fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy, groceries and personal care, and household items through their websites and mobile apps. It is currently serving all of Dhaka city which is almost 50 locations, except certain parts of old towns. To ensure 1-hour delivery, Chaldal maintains 9 different micro warehouses across Dhaka city. Chaldal also ranked 9th in the world’s best 500 startups 2015, the ranking was produced by Forbes Magazine’s startup assister ‘Y Combinator’. It was co-founded in September 2013 by Waseem alim, Zia Ashraf and Tejas Viswanath.

    3. CMED Health

    CMED Health limited is a startup Health Tech company focusing on preventive health care. Their mission at CMED is to accurately access the vitals of people’s health over time in the environments where they live, work, and play so they can live more productive lives. They offer smart healthcare devices that include Smart Blood Pressure Monitor, Smart Glucometer, Smart Pulse Oximeter, Smart Weight Scale, Temperature Scale, etc. All of the data collected from these devices can be stored on a cloud service via a smartphone app.

    CMED Health was found in 2016. It’s headquarter is located in Dhaka. CMED Health Limited was co-founded by Dr. Khondokar A. Mamun (who is also the Chairman of CMED Health), Dr. Farhana Sarkar, Md. Ashraf Dawood and Monirul H. Chowdhury.

    4. Doctorola

    It is the first online doctor’s appointment booking service platform in Bangladesh. Besides appointment booking, they are also providing information about blood donors and hospitals. It now provides information of over 8000 verified doctors forms 63 districts.

    Mohammad Abdul Matin Emon is the founder and CEO of Doctorola. The idea of Doctorola evolved into a service platform in early 2014, it was only a doctor’s directory along with a feature for appointment requests at that time. But since its’ official launch in October 2015, It is operating in full capacity with the help of their quick and easy to use website backed by a call center and adding many new features helpful for the users.

    5. Handy Mama

    Handy Mama is an app for providing professional cleaning and handymen services, serving in Dhaka. They provide services like professional home and office cleaning, carpet and sofa cleaning, pest control, home appliance repair and service, electrician, plumber, painter, and carpenter, packing, moving and shifting, etc. They have over 1000 verified experienced handymen with over 30 service vendors. HandyMama was found in 2015 in Dhaka by Mr. Shah Paran who is also the CEO of HandyMama Bangladesh.

    6. Khaas Food

    Khaas Food is an e-commerce platform that aims to provide safe and pure foods in Bangladesh. Through their website, they are trying to provide organic food to as many people as possible. Their main aim is to provide adulteration free, additives free and chemical-free pure food to the consumers. Now, they are operating in a total of 7 outlets which are situated in Mohammadpur, Gulshan, Badda, Uttara, Gopibag, Mirpur, and Chattogram. They sell honey, milk, brown sugar, fruits, meat, and fish, etc. which are pure and chemical-free. KhaasFood started with a capital of only 2 lakh but now it has become a million-dollar company. KhaasFood was found in 2015. Habibul Mustafa is the co-founder and Chairman of KhaasFood.

    7. Pathao

    Pathao is a Bangladeshi on-demand digital platform and Transportation Network Company. It’s headquartered is in Dhaka. The company is operating in three cities of Bangladesh, Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet. Pathao is the first major ride-sharing company in Bangladesh to get an enlistment certificate. They started with ride-sharing but now they are operating also as food delivery service, parcel, and courier service. There are more than 500 employees working with Pathao at present. Pathao is valued at over $100 million. Pathao was found on October 9, 2015. It was co-founded by Hussain Elius, Shifat Adnan and Fahim Saleh. Pathao has recently launched a ride-sharing service in Nepal.

    Repto is an online course marketplace where the students can take online classes, exams and get certified. Then they connect the best students with the employers according to job requirements. They provide over 90 courses including Entrepreneurship, Freelancing, Computer science, Software Development, Graphics Design, Business, marketing, and communication, etc. You can also find miscellaneous courses that features everything from rocket science to Guitar Playing. Repto was founded on March 9, 2016. The founder and CEO of Repto is Ishtiyak Sheyam.

    9) Seba.xyz

    Sheba.xyz is an online service marketplace in Bangladesh that connects households with verified service providers. They provide 300+ home and office services in total like beauty, appliance and gadget repair, food, laundry, cleaning, rent-a-car, shifting, renovation, plumbing, fixing air condition, etc. that the customers will need in their everyday life through an app. Sheba.xyz is valued over $10 million. Sheba.xyz was found on 29 July 2016. It’s headquarter is located in Dhaka. The co-founders of Sheba.xyz are Adnan Imtiaz Halim, Ilmul Haque Shajib and Abu Naser Md. Shoaib.

    10. Sohoz

    Shohoz.com is an online travel service provider that aims to make long-distance travel in Bangladesh easy and convenient by offering online bus tickets, hotel reservations, and launch tickets. They also provide online movie tickets, ride-sharing, truck booking, food delivery, ferry tickets, etc. Shohoz has raised $15 million investment recently led by Singapore based Golden Gate Ventures. Shohoz was found in 2013. It’s headquarter is located in Dhaka. Maliha M Quadir is the co-founder and Managing Director of Shohoz.
